As a Gas Turbine Overhaul Technician, you'll play a key role in the growth of Rotation Group's newest overhaul and repair facility in Penrose, Auckland. Working closely with our experienced Canadian overhaul team, you’ll help build a world-class capability supporting customers across New Zealand, Australia, Canada and beyond. Specialising in GE LM2500 gas turbines, you'll be involved in the hands-on disassembly, inspection, reassembly and testing of engines and modules to the highest standards of quality, safety and reliability. What you'll do Assist in the disassembly and reassembly of GE LM2500 gas turbine engines and modules following strict protocols to ensure quality and safety Perform detailed inspections of turbine components, identifying wear and damage and documenting findings accurately Document and track overhaul findings, maintenance activities and inspection results Support engine and component testing activities to verify operational performance following overhaul Troubleshoot issues identified during overhaul and testing activities, following technical manuals, engineering instructions and guidance from senior technicians Maintain accurate records to support compliance, traceability and quality assurance requirements Actively participate in the company's continuous improvement philosophy to improve workshop production Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure a safe and efficient overhaul process Support customer site work and field service activities when required, including occasional domestic and international travel to support Rotation Group operations What we're looking for Strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for hands-on technical work Experience in mechanical assembly, overhaul, maintenance or repair environments High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to follow technical procedures, solve problems and work safely in a regulated environment Reliable, organised and able to work effectively as part of a small, committed team Positive attitude, willingness to learn and commitment to continuous improvement Experience & Qualifications You should meet most, but not necessarily all, of the following: Mechanical trade qualification or relevant technical training Experience in mechanical assembly, maintenance, overhaul or repair within aviation, power generation, marine, manufacturing or rotating equipment environments Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals and procedures Experience with gas turbines, aero-derivative engines or rotating equipment would be advantageous Experience with GE LM2500 gas turbines would be highly regarded Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team Why join Rotation Group?
