Work-life balance. $$ towards wellbeing Gratitude day off Birthday day off Role: Permanent role, Part-time- 30 hours a week role, Monday- Friday- 12 PM- 6 PM, although some flexibility will be required to stay beyond 6 PM if procedures run past their scheduled time. Coordinate and book appointments for elective surgical procedures. Answers phones promptly and professionally, provides assistance in the first instance when appropriate; or transfers calls to correct staff. Ensuring patients receive all the necessary information before their procedure and ensuring we have all the information required to make a booking Assist patients with the health insurance pre-approval process, including verifying coverage, submitting necessary documents, and following up with insurers as required. Coordinating with the clinical team regarding specific procedures, patients/doctors’ requests, and upcoming procedure bookings Serve as the primary point of contact, providing clear guidance on the booking process, pre-procedure requirements, and any administrative concerns. Offer compassionate and efficient customer service, addressing patient concerns and ensuring they feel supported throughout their experience at the facility. Respond promptly and professionally to enquiries from referrers, ensuring smooth coordination between referring physicians and the clinical team Participates in team initiatives, including regular staff meetings to assist in the facilitation of effective communication. Carry the on-call telephone, ensuring a timely response to patient queries, booking changes, and emergencies outside business hours. Voice messages are listened to promptly and distributed accurately. Incoming correspondence (mail or electronic in-boxes) are viewed and actioned appropriately. Manages invoice coding and processing. You: Must have previous experience as a medical administrator Experience in healthcare setting is mandatory Familiarity with health insurance claim processes High level of IT skills Experience using patient management systems is mandatory Experience in booking elective surgical procedures Ability to work to deadlines Pro- active within boundaries Self-management skills (organizationaland time management) Team player #J-18808-Ljbffr
