Our water teams play a critical role in ensuring a continual supply of quality water with minimal interruptions to communities. No two days will be the same as you head out across the Wellington region undertaking a mix of planned and reactive works where you’ll: Install and repair water connections on all sizes of mains Work on jobs of all shapes and sizes Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with trade practice Flush and charge water mains Work together with various teams and contractors to achieve results What’s in it for you? About you To be successful in this role you will have: Connexis Level 3 or 4 - Pipeline Construction and Maintenance (Water strand) 5+ years' experience in the water industry, with the ability to use hand tools, small plant and machinery A reliable, hard-working, and can-do attitude. The ability to use technology (i.e., iPad or tablet) to record information. An understanding and commitment to health and safety in the workplace. A full, clean driver’s NZ class 1 Licence & class 2, WTR is an added benefit. Enjoy working outdoors and can complete manual labour tasks.
