HSE Coordinator - Te Pae o Tararua - Ōtaki to North of Levin (Ō2NL) About the Project: The Te Pae o Tararua (Ō2NL) highway will dramatically improve safety, resilience, and efficiency, while increasing transport choices for a growing population. The project is being delivered in partnership with NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi, Muaūpoko Tribal Authority, local hapū of Ngāti Raukawa ki te Tonga, and Horowhenua District Council. This is a transformative infrastructure project being delivered using a two-alliance model. Our shared project principles include treading lightly on the whenua, building strong partnerships, and delivering an enduring legacy. We’re looking for great people to join us on this unique journey. About the Role: Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, you'll provide essential support to the wider HSE team and play a key role in maintaining robust health and safety systems across the project. Key responsibilities include: Managing incident and injury documentation and maintaining accurate records. Coordinating and supporting site H&S audits and verifications. Monitoring corrective actions and tracking investigation progress. Assisting in monthly dashboard and H&S reporting for leadership teams. Preparing toolbox talks, safety alerts, and project communications. Reviewing H&S documentation and supporting compliance activities. Coordinating inductions, health monitoring, and general HSE administration. Providing support to the wider HSE team across all workstreams. About you: You will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident working with data and systems. You'll bring: Strong communication and administration skills. High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Excellent organisation, attention to detail, and ability to manage confidential information. A proactive approach and ability to work collaboratively. Preferred skills: NZQA Level 3 Workplace Health and Safety Practice (or working towards). Experience in a construction or infrastructure environment. Knowledge of ACC Accredited Employer Programme and AS/NZS Standards. Understanding of privacy law and its application in a workplace setting.
