Class 4 HIAB Drivers

Unite Recruit is looking for an experienced Class 4 HIAB Driver who isn't afraid to get out of the truck and support the crew. Working across a range of civil infrastructure projects, you'll be responsible for transporting materials and equipment, operating a HIAB crane safely, and assisting the site team when deliveries are complete. What You'll Be Doing Driving & HIAB Operations Safely operate a Class 4 truck and HIAB crane to transport and unload construction materials, plant and equipment. Complete daily vehicle inspections, secure loads correctly and ensure compliance with NZ road transport regulations. What You'll Be Doing Driving & HIAB Operations Safely operate a Class 4 truck and HIAB crane to transport and unload construction materials, plant and equipment. Complete daily vehicle inspections, secure loads correctly and ensure compliance with NZ road transport regulations. Site Support Assist with loading, unloading and positioning materials using the HIAB. Support site crews with general civil labouring, lifting, spotting and other site duties when required. Health & Safety Follow all company Health & Safety procedures and traffic management requirements. Maintain vehicles and equipment in a clean and serviceable condition while reporting any defects promptly. What We Need Full NZ Class 4 Driver Licence . Current HIAB (Crane) Certificate with practical operating experience. Minimum 2 years' experience operating a Class 4 truck and HIAB. Previous experience in civil construction, infrastructure or building sites. Willingness to carry out manual labouring duties when required. Good understanding of load restraint and safe lifting practices. Physically fit and capable of heavy manual work. Reliable, punctual and safety focused. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test. Highly Desirable Class 5 Licence. WTR endorsements. Forklift endorsement (F endorsement). Site Safe Passport. Experience working around live traffic environments. Knowledge of civil construction materials and equipment.
