Dental Assistant - North shore - Part time Are you a friendly, reliable Dental Assistant looking for a great part-time role with ideal hours? Floss Dental is a long-running, well-established practice that has been proudly serving the Birkenhead community for over 15 years. We are a large, modern clinic supported by a warm, experienced team and equipped with the latest dental technology. We are looking for a capable Dental Assistant to work directly alongside our practice owner, Kellie , every Wednesday and Thursday. Floss Dental Birkenhead was formerly Birkenhead family dental and was rebranded when it moved to its new location. This role would suit a DA that wants to keep their hands and mind busy while socialising with a great team! FLOSS is a 5 clinic surgery with 5 dentists (including the owners), an oral health therapist, a receptionist and and a team of dental assistants. Dental Assistants (DAs) are an absolutely critical part of any successful dental practice. Yours is a busy and rewarding role, where you'll work closely with your clinician to deliver an excellent patient experience. You’ll enjoy taking a leading role in ensuring our patients are happy and relaxed, making them feel at ease as you work with your dentist and the other staff to deliver a first-class patient experience every day. It goes without saying that the safety of our patients and teams is paramount, so we have a high focus on delivering best practice sterilisation and infection control. A typical day at our clinic may also see you assisting the Receptionist with patient recalls and appointment bookings, payments etc. To be successful in this role, you will have: Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, although training can and will be provided to the right applicant without experience. Confident communication skills, both written and verbal. Outstanding customer focus and relationship management skills. Excellent personal presentation. Be reliable and caring. A team player and ability to adapt to different clinicians working styles. Strong multi-tasking skills and be able to work well under pressure. The ideal applicant should be well organised, reliable with a positive attitude, experience would be bestbut the right applicant can be trained if successful.
