The Electricity Authority Te Mana Hiko is an independentCrown entity that regulates the electricity market. Our core focus is to ensurethe electricity system and market deliver reliable electricity at lowest costfor consumers. The electricity industry is changing rapidly.Electrification across transport and industry is accelerating as the cost ofrenewable generation continues to fall. This transition is transforming thepower system. As the system evolves, regulatory settings must continue to adaptto support reliable lowest cost outcomes for consumers. It’s an exciting time to join the Authority as we grow ourcapabilities, expand our reach, build a team ready to make a difference bydriving through a bold, collaborative work programme to deliver reliableelectricity at lowest cost for NZ consumers. You’ll be managing one of the Authority’s highest valuecontracts, and one which is nationally-critical – the Authority’s contract withTranspower for system operator services.If you’re experienced in managing complex commercial contracts, strongfinancial nous, and love working in a fast-paced, people-focused environment,this could be your next big move. You’ll help keep New Zealand’s electricity system runningsmoothly – quite literally helping to keep the nation’s lights on. Fromperformance monitoring to building strong relationships with internal andexternal stakeholders, you’ll play a vital role in making sure everything stayson track and up to standard. There areplenty of established processes to step into, and the contract will also be renegotiated over the next 18-24 months, which gives ample opportunity to buildand shape this further. Nōu te rourou | What you’ll bring Proven experience in managing complex and high-value contracts, including financial and performance monitoring. Strong relationship management skills with the ability to build trust and influence stakeholders at all levels. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable insights. Highly developed organisational skills and attention to detail. The ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight timelines. Experience or knowledge of the electricity sector is desirable. Ngāhuakarirokiakoe|What’sin it for you?
