Edit Hotels & Resorts – Blenheim, South Island Edit Picton is a stunning hotel located by the harbour, the perfect location to explore the dramatic local coastline and New Zealand wine country. This 49-room boutique hotel has recently been refurbished and is looking for a career-driven Duty Manager to join its leadership team. Having completed a refurbishment and rebranding successfully, it's the perfect time for a seasoned professional to make their mark. The Hotel Duty Manager is a hands-on operational role responsible to help oversee and coordinate the daily activities of the Front Desk, including actively supporting Food & Beverage department. This hands-on position ensures the highest levels of guest satisfaction and operational efficiency, supporting with all aspects of hotel operations. As the supervisor of the hotel, you will work hands-on with a small team, setting a high bar for service delivery. Reporting to the General Manager, you'll develop the skills and expertise needed to thrive, preparing you for eventual growth and development within Edit Hotels and Resorts. Keyresponsibilities: Actively support Food & Beverage operations, including restaurant, bar, conferencing and room service Work at the Hotel Front Desk and manage Front Office responsibilities and operations Maintain effective communication among the team and departments Ensure guest requests and complaints are handled professionally Ensure that rooms are impeccably set up and ready for guests Daily billing and cash management duties Completing reservations and all other duties assigned by the General Manager Skills and Requirements: Minimum 3 years' experience and success in a similar position in a hotel environment Flexible to work on a rotating roster including morning and evening shifts, weekends and public holidays Experience in leading and mentoring teams Can-do, positive attitude that consistently delivers exceptional guest engagement Experience using Property Management Systems Current eligibility to work in New Zealand Experience working in Food & Beverage, Conference & Events is advantageous What we offer at Edit Hotels: Paid Birthday Off Endless career and growth opportunities Fantastic rewards and recognition initiatives Free access to hundreds of online Hospitality courses A variety of amazing corporate discounts #J-18808-Ljbffr
