Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey. 61044 Technical Assistant (Casual or Fixed Term Minimum Waged) x 4 - Plant & Food Research Join our Hawke's Bay team and support the development of future apple varieties in a hands-on, outdoor seasonal role. We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable casual staff to support our Pipfruit Breeding Programme at our Hawke's Bay Research Centre. Working alongside our research associates and technicians,you'll assist with the hand pollination and pollen collection ofapples during the peak flowering period. This work plays avital role in helping deliver breeding objectives anddeveloping future apple varieties. Key responsibilities include: Assisting with hand pollination of apple flowers Collecting and handling pollen Supporting research staff with orchard-based activities Following research protocols and health and safetyrequirements Working collaboratively as part of a field-based team Previous orchard, agriculture or field research experiencewould be beneficial but is not essential, as training will beprovided. This can be a physically demanding role, and you will needto have a reasonable level of physical fitness andinvolvesoutdoor work so you will need to be prepared to work in allweather conditions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
