The service covers a population of ~450,000 across the Bay of Plenty and Lakes regions. You’ll work within a team of five hospital-based urologists, supported by four registrars, an advanced trainee, and visiting community specialists. The role offers a broad general urology scope with flexibility to shape practice interests. Key responsibilities include: General urology across elective and acute care Stone disease (desirable experience) Outpatient cystoscopy and transperineal procedures Urological oncology, particularly prostate cancer Participation in on-call The department is well-regarded, with access to advanced facilities including robotic surgery, and offers opportunities in teaching, research, and service development. Flexible working is available (0.8-1.0 FTE), with a supportive, family-oriented team culture.
