About the role This is apermanent, full-time position, with a minimum of30 hours guaranteed per weekand five rostered shifts across a seven-day period. We’re open from11am until late, seven days a week, so flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends, is important. You’ll be working in an energetic, fast-paced and social kitchen where no two days are quite the same. You’ll be expected to be reliable, communicate well, work positively as part of a team, and take responsibility for the quality of your work. As Chef de Partie, you’ll support the Head Chef and Sous Chef while taking responsibility for your own section. You’ll also have the opportunity to help guide and mentor Junior Chefs and Kitchen Hands as you continue developing your leadership skills. What we’re looking for Ideally, you’ll have aroundtwo years’ relevant experienceor aLevel 4 or higher qualificationin a relevant field. But experience and qualifications aren’t everything. We’re much more interested in finding someone with theright attitude— someone who is motivated, curious and takes pride in doing things well. You’ll bring: A strong work ethic and positive attitude Reliability and good communication skills High standards and attention to detail A willingness to learn, develop and take on responsibility The ability to work calmly and effectively in a busy kitchen Consistency in preparation, cooking and plating The ability to take sole responsibility for your section Good knowledge of food preparation, raw materials and production processes An understanding of menu costing, stock management and quality control The ability to follow and execute a Food Control Plan Knowledge of sourdough and bread baking would be a bonus What you’ll be doing Working alongside the Head Chef and Sous Chef, you’ll play an important role in keeping the kitchen running smoothly and consistently. You’ll have the opportunity to develop your skills in: Section management and day-to-day kitchen operations Food preparation and service Stock and menu management Menu development and costing Training and supporting junior team members Maintaining food quality and consistency Working efficiently and maintaining high kitchen standards We want this to be a role where you cangrow your skills, take on more responsibility and become an important part of the kitchen team.
