We're looking for a technically minded, customer-focused professional who enjoys building relationships, learning new technologies, and finding the right solution for every customer. This role combines technical sales, customer support, and sales administration, making it perfect for someone who enjoys both people and technology. About the Role You'll become the trusted contact for assigned customers while supporting our external sales team. Every day is different. You will be answering technical enquiries, preparing quotations, identifying new opportunities or helping customers choose the right instrumentation for their application. This is an office-based role with occasional customer visits and product demonstrations. What You'll Be Doing Respond to customer enquiries via phone and email Provide technical advice and product recommendations Prepare quotations and process sales orders Build strong, long-term customer relationships Support our external sales representatives with quotations, technical information and follow-up Identify opportunities to grow existing customer accounts Liaise with suppliers regarding technical information and product availability Maintain CRM and ERP systems Assist with product demonstrations when required Assist with warehouse duties and product handling (some manual lifting may be required) What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who enjoys learning and has a genuine interest in engineering and technology. Ideally you'll have: Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Process Engineering or another technical qualification (Degree, Diploma or similar) OR relevant technical industry experience Excellent problem-solving ability Strong communication and customer service skills A positive attitude and willingness to learn The ability to explain technical concepts in a simple way Great organisational and time management skills Confidence using computer systems and Microsoft Office A full New Zealand Driver Licence Previous experience in technical sales, industrial instrumentation, automation, calibration, manufacturing or engineering would be highly regarded but is not essential.
