Right now, we're on the lookout for a motivated Driver Operator (Sweeper) to join our Wellington team – whether you're experienced or ready to take the next step. In this role, you'll be part of a hardworking crew delivering a variety of construction, renewal, and maintenance projects across the region. You'll operate a range of machinery including sweepers, rollers, graders, and trucks, while also pitching in with hands-on work when needed to keep things moving. You will be a physically fit and motivated person and will bring with you: Class 4 Full NZ Drivers License essential (WTR highly regarded) Road sweeping experience highly regarded but not essential Physically fit and willing to get stuck into hands‑on tasks Good understanding of road safety, including pre‑starts and inspections Reliable, hardworking, and a team player Flexible with hours when the job demands it Want to know more about what it is like to work at Downer?
