Te Roopu Taurima is New Zealand's largest kaupapa Māori disability support provider. We support people with intellectual and physical disabilities to live great lives, build connections, achieve their goals, and participate fully in their communities. We're looking for experienced Lifestyle Coaches to join our South Auckland team. In this role, you'll work alongside the people we support, helping them build confidence, develop life skills, achieve personal goals, and live the life they choose. About the role As a Lifestyle Coach, you'll provide practical support, encouragement and guidance in everyday life. No two days are the same. Your responsibilities may include: Supporting daily routines and household tasks Assisting with cooking, shopping and budgeting Encouraging community participation and social connections Supporting appointments and activities Helping people develop skills and achieve personal goals Promoting wellbeing, choice and independence Maintaining accurate records and communication with the wider team What we're looking for At least 2 years' experience in New Zealand supporting people with disabilities or in a related community-based support role Experience working independently and supporting people with complex needs Experience in areas such as behaviour support, mental health, youth work, social services, or trauma-informed care A Level 3 New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (or equivalent qualification or experience) A full New Zealand driver's licence Strong communication skills and a person-centred approach Availability to work rostered shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays Hours and availability We have two permanent opportunities available, with guaranteed hours of either 30 or 38 hours per week . Our services operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Rostered shifts may change based on operational requirements and the needs of the people we support.
