Argus Tracking – North Shore, North Island Your job is to find, pursue, and close major new accounts across New Zealand. You will manage your own territory, build your own pipeline, and operate largely independently. There is no hand-holding, no script, and no warm leads waiting for you. There is a strong product, a strong brand, and real enterprise opportunities in the market right now. You will spend a significant portion of your time on the road meeting prospects, attending industry events, and building the kind of face-to-face relationships that win large fleet contracts. THE PACKAGE Pool vehicle provided for field days and travel Full travel expenses Direct line to the GM no layers, no bureaucracy A product with genuine market differentiation and reference customers you can be proud of WHAT YOU WILL DO Build and execute your own prospecting strategy cold outreach, network activation, event presence, referrals, and anything else that works Own the full sales cycle on all new business: from first contact through discovery, demonstration, commercial negotiation, and contract close Pursue and close fleet accounts ranging from 30 to 500 vehicles — including commercial operators, government agencies, councils, and logistics and transport businesses Identify, qualify, and respond to government RFPs and procurement tenders including writing and submitting compelling proposals Maintain a pipeline that is accurate, up to date, and defensible in a weekly review — no sandbagging, no wishful thinking Bring structured market intelligence back to the business: competitor movements, customer objections, unmet needs, and pricing signals Represent Argus at telematics and fleet industry events across New Zealand and make those appearances count commercially Work closely with the GM on major account strategy and pricing for complex or high-value opportunities REQUIREMENTS — ALL OF THESE ARE MANDATORY A minimum of 7 years in B2B field sales, with at least 5 of those years in a pure new business hunting role relevant industries include telematics, fleet, transport, logistics, infrastructure, SaaS, or complex equipment sales carrying a personal quota A documented track record of closing new logo deals we will ask for specifics on deal values, cycle lengths, and how you won them A current and active contact network among fleet decision-makers in New Zealand, procurement leads, operations managers, CFOs, and government fleet managers who know you and will take your call Demonstrable experience winning competitive RFP or tender processes particularly in the government or large enterprise sector Proficiency with a major CRM platform (HubSpot, Salesforce, or equivalent) — your pipeline management must be disciplined and data-driven A full clean New Zealand driver's licence The ability and genuine willingness to travel nationally on a regular, ongoing basis, including overnight travel NICE TO HAVE Experience in telematics, fleet management, or fleet technology a genuine advantage but not a barrier if you bring strong field sales credentials from a relevant adjacent industry Existing relationships with fleet operators, procurement leads, or transport and logistics businesses in New Zealand Familiarity with government RFP or tender processes Knowledge of NZ fleet compliance, RUC, or heavy transport regulation #J-18808-Ljbffr
