Asset Data Officer (fixed term – 12 months) Turn data into decisions that shape our communities At Matamata-Piako District Council, we're looking for an analytical and detail-focused Asset Data Officer to help maintain and improve the information that underpins our infrastructure planning and investment decisions. As a key member of our Asset Systems team, you'll manage asset data across a diverse portfolio including stormwater, a growing transport asset portfolio, parks, facilities, buildings, land and solid waste assets. You'll work with asset mapping, asset management systems, and financial data to ensure information is accurate, reliable, and accessible. This is a 12-month fixed-term position. What you'll bring Experience working with data, databases, GIS, asset management systems, or a related field. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy. Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills. Confidence using Microsoft Excel and other digital systems. The ability to build positive relationships and communicate effective with a range of stakeholders. Experience with GIS, asset management software, or local government systems would be an advantage.
