Community Registered Mental Health Nurse For The Mental Health Service Older Persons Community Registered Mental Health Nurse For The Mental Health Service Older Persons We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our multidisciplinary community mental health team. You will be joining an established, experienced, specialist multidisciplinary team who are passionate about improving health outcomes and promoting the quality of life of tangata whaiora referred to our service. The Mental Health Service Older Persons (MHSOP) is a mental health specialty service. The service is primarily community based and provides specialist assessment, treatment and rehabilitation services for people experiencing mental health needs in later life. The community team is co-located with our specialist inpatient unit on the Kenepuru Community Hospital campus. You will be flexible and willing to work collaboratively as part of a team to provide quality care and assessment to meet identified client needs. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have: Experience of working with older adults or an interest developing skills, experience in this specialty area Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with other professionals within a strengths based and solution focused framework Excellent assessment, time management skills and the ability to effectively and efficiently complete tasks Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and proven ability to engage people at all levels Demonstrated commitment to applying principles of Te Tiriti O Waitangi and to improving equitable health outcomes for the communities we serve Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
