Geneva Wellbeing is seeking a dedicated Contractor Physiotherapist to support increasing referral volumes across the wider Christchurch region, including Hurunui, Waimakariri, Christchurch, and Selwyn. Who we are | Ko wai mātou At Geneva Wellbeing, we provide community-based rehabilitation services that support people recovering from injury, illness, or living with disability. Our interdisciplinary teams work closely with clients and their whānau/families, using a strengths-based, person-centred approach to support recovery, functional independence, and meaningful outcomes. This is a community-based contractor position supporting adult clients throughout the wider Christchurch region, including Hurunui, Waimakariri, Christchurch, and Selwyn. Hours are flexible and dependent on referral volumes. While hours cannot be guaranteed, recent unmet referral demand has been approximately 0.5–0.6 FTE. You will provide assessment and rehabilitation services across a range of ACC contracts, including: Home and Community Support Sensitive Claims Social Rehabilitation Needs Assessment You will work independently within the community, with support available from the Team Leader as required. This opportunity would suit an experienced Physiotherapist who values autonomy, flexibility, and delivering high-quality rehabilitation within clients’ homes and communities. Contractor percentage rates will be offered based on experience. Current registration with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand A current Annual Practising Certificate At least five years’ Physiotherapy experience Proven experience delivering ACC community-based assessment and rehabilitation services Clinical experience working with neurological conditions, burns, orthopaedic injuries, trauma, and sensitive claims Confidence working autonomously in community settings Strong clinical assessment, rehabilitation planning, and report-writing skills Excellent time management and organisational capability Strong communication and relationship-building skills Ability to work collaboratively with clients, whānau, ACC, and other health professionals A full, clean New Zealand Driver’s Licence Access to a reliable vehicle and the ability to travel throughout the wider Christchurch region Key Responsibilities Deliver Physiotherapy assessments and rehabilitation services in clients’ homes and community settings Support clients to achieve functional independence, rehabilitation, and recovery goals Manage a varied community caseload independently Work collaboratively with clients, whānau, ACC, and other health professionals Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality clinical documentation Complete clinical reports within required contractual timeframes Apply evidence-based practice across neurological, burns, orthopaedic, trauma, and sensitive claims presentations Seek guidance and support from the Team Leader when required Contribute to positive and sustainable outcomes for clients Flexible working arrangements that allow you to manage your own schedule Autonomy to manage your community caseload Support from an experienced Team Leader when required Be part of a supportive multidisciplinary team that values collaboration and shared learning One of the strengths of Geneva Wellbeing is our close multidisciplinary team approach, where clinicians are well supported by experienced colleagues and have opportunities to work collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes for clients Opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives Ongoing professional development and peer support Access to EAP support and a values-driven culture Additional Information Contract type: Contractor Location: Wider Christchurch, including Hurunui, Waimakariri, Christchurch, and Selwyn Work setting: Community-based Client group: Adults Hours: Variable and dependent on referral volumes Current referral demand: Approximately 0.5–0.6 FTE recently unmet; hours are not guaranteed Contractor rate: Percentage rates offered based on experience New Zealand Police vetting Physiotherapy Board registration check Current Annual Practising Certificate ACC provider number Professional indemnity insurance Valid New Zealand Driver’s Licence Although the primary client group is adults, the contractor may be working in environments where clients’ children are present. 04 September 2026 at 5.00 pm, or earlier if the right contractor is found.
