Registered Nurse - Community Palliative Care Mercy Hospice Auckland – Auckland, North Island Mercy Hospice delivers specialist palliative care to people in central Auckland catchment living with life‑limiting illness. Role Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing assessment, care planning, and symptom management for people with life‑limiting illness in the community Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and other members of a patient’s health care team to deliver coordinated, high quality, holistic palliative care Promote comfort, choice, and quality of life while respecting individual values and wishes You’ll provide support and education to other members of a patient’s health care team, including practice nurses, district nurses and aged residential care facilities Contribute to after‑hours/on‑call services as part of a supportive roster Benefits you will enjoy Permanent part time role, 32 hours per week (0.8 FTE) Full support with orientation as well as an individual training plan specific to your needs Professional supervision FULLY FUNDED Professional development opportunities from internal and external training providers Ample FREE PARKING on site at Mercy Hospice Tools of the trade, tablet and mobile phone with full IT support and cyber security across all devices.
