What You'll Be Doing As a Timber Grader, you'll be responsible for ensuring timber products meet quality standards before they leave the production line. Your day to day duties will include: Inspecting timber for defects such as knots, splits, warping, resin pockets, and moisture issues. Grading timber to company and industry standards. Sorting and stacking timber correctly. Reporting quality concerns to supervisors. Supporting production targets by maintaining consistent grading accuracy. Safely operating grading and timber handling equipment. Completing basic production records and documentation. Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment. Working closely with the production team to keep operations running efficiently. What We're Looking For Excellent attention to detail. A strong work ethic and reliable attendance. The ability to work on your feet throughout the day. A commitment to workplace health and safety. The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. AdvantageousIf You Have Previous experience in timber grading, sawmill, or timber processing. Knowledge of timber defects and grading standards. Timber grading qualifications or relevant industry unit standards. A current Forklift Licence. Basic computer or tablet skills.
