Reporting to the Senior Sales Representative, you'll play a key role in strengthening Daiken's presence in Auckland while helping identify and develop growth opportunities across the wider North Island. You'll build strong relationships with existing customers while securing new business opportunities. This role is about much more than selling products. You'll work closely with customers to understand their business, identify value-adding opportunities and develop long-term partnerships. Building trusted relationships and delivering customer-focused solutions will be critical to your success. This position offers a well-established customer base and the opportunity to impact the future growth of our business. Key responsibilities Building strong relationships with an established customer portfolio across Auckland while identifying opportunities for continued growth. Identifying and developing new business opportunities throughout the region. Achieving sales budgets and business growth targets. Building strong relationships with manufacturers, distributors and industry stakeholders. Developing customer‑specific value propositions that create mutually beneficial outcomes. Analysing market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities. Working closely with customer service, logistics and operational teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences. Maintaining strong account management practices, including trading account management and receivables follow‑up. Contributing to sales planning and business development initiatives. About you 3-5+ years' experience in sales, business development or key account management. A proven ability to develop long‑term customer relationships and win new business. Strong commercial acumen and the ability to identify growth opportunities. Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑building skills. Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. A self‑motivated, organised and results‑driven approach. High levels of professionalism, credibility and integrity. Confidence working independently while remaining closely connected with the wider team.
