Russell Community Medical Trust - Russell, North Island The Russell Community Medical Trust is actively partnering with Hato Hone St. John to provide increased ambulance services for the greater Russell community. We are looking for a second paid Volunteer Support Paramedic who is keen to join the team here in the beautiful Bay of Islands. This is a part time role, nominally 0.5 FTE working 3 - 4 shifts per fortnight (negotiable). We are looking for a Paramedic, or an experienced Emergency Medical Technician with a minimum requirement of 4 years frontline fulltime service with St. John or equivalent ambulance service. This is a long term role with day shifts only required, nominally 7.00am - 7.00pm with negotiability around the number of shifts worked. The roster will be agreed with the Paramedics who retain the flexibility to swap shifts between themselves. The role involves responding to emergency calls with volunteer crew support, volunteer training & mentoring as well as station administrative duties and community liaison. We are looking for someone who is a confident practitioner and can settle into a team with ease, working alongside both paid and volunteer staff, and provide a high level of care. Terms of engagement will be as a Contractor working for the Russell Community Medical Trust with a competitive remuneration package. The successful applicant will also be required to be accepted by Hato Hone St John as a volunteer ambulance officer ( but paid by the Russell Community Medical Trust). We also encourage them to be on the HHSJ casual roster so they can do occasional shifts at other stations with their wider peer group.
