Ōtorohanga Support House Whare Āwhina Trust is looking for a compassionate, organised and community-minded Case Management Kaiārahi Coordinator to join our team. This is a hands-on role working directly alongside whānau to understand their needs, identify their goals and connect them with services, opportunities and community initiatives that can make a meaningful difference. About the role As our Case Management Kaiārahi Coordinator, you will be a key point of contact for whānau seeking support. You will build trusted relationships, coordinate support and work collaboratively with community organisations and service providers. Your responsibilities will include receiving referral, engaging with whānau, supporting and developing plans, connecting whānau with other services, monitoring progress and providing ongoing support. Throughout your work, you will engage with whānau in a professional, respectful and mana-enhancing way. The role is full time, Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm. About you We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people and can build trust across a diverse community. Strong communication, planning, organising and coordination skills The ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with whānau, colleagues and community partners An approachable, flexible and adaptable working style The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a supportive team Good judgement, integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality A proactive approach and willingness to continuously learn and improve Confidence using Microsoft 365 suite and Sharepoint An understanding of tikanga Māori, basic Te Reo Māori pronunciation, or a willingness to learn The ability to work flexibly, including occasional work outside usual business hours, to respond to the needs of whānau and clients Above all, you will be someone who can establish credibility within our community and is committed to supporting whānau in a way that respects their aspirations, strengths and mana.
