Te Tūranga | About the role Are you someone who enjoys helping people, solving problems, and making technology feel a little less complicated? This could be a great opportunity to start or grow your career in Digital Services. As part of our Service Desk team, you'll be one of the first points of contact for staff needing help with technology. You'll support people with everyday IT queries, talk them through issues, and help make sure they get the right support at the right time. You don't need to know everything technical from day one. What matters most is that you're curious, willing to learn, and comfortable explaining information clearly to different people. Some technical understanding would be helpful, but being able to listen, ask good questions, and make sense of technical concepts is just as important. In this role, you'll: provide friendly, helpful first-level support to staff across the organisation talk with people in person, over the phone, and by email to understand what support they need help troubleshoot common hardware, software, and system issues explain technical information in a way that is clear and easy to understand work with the wider Digital Services team to resolve issues and keep things moving build your technical knowledge while supporting a wide range of people and systems. Ngā Pukenga | What you'll need to succeed We're looking for someone who brings: strong customer service skills and a genuine interest in helping people patience, curiosity, and a practical approach to solving problems the ability to learn new systems and understand technical information a positive, can-do attitude and willingness to be part of a supportive team an interest in technology or a recent/relevant IT qualification would be helpful.
