The Company is in search of a Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) to provide strategic leadership for its learning and teaching portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving excellence in teaching and curriculum, overseeing academic quality, and strengthening postgraduate programs. A key aspect of the role is to work towards advancing the interests of Māori and Pasifika students and embedding Mātauranga Māori in the curriculum. The role also involves leading change and working with a diverse range of stakeholders to ensure the academic mission of the institution is met. Applicants for the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) position at the company should hold a PhD or equivalent postgraduate qualification and have a strong record in university teaching, research, and academic leadership. Extensive experience in academic planning, policy, and quality assurance is essential, as is a genuine commitment to being an effective Te Tiriti o Waitangi partner. The role requires a leader with senior management experience in a large, complex organization and a proven ability to lead change.
