Job Description

Join Te Pari, a world-leading manufacturer in livestock handling and animal management systems. We're currently on the lookout for Mechanical Engineers to join our dynamic Material Processing team at our Oamaru manufacturing facility. In this pivotal role, you'll be part of the manufacturing process, operating and maintaining CNC machinery to deliver precision parts and components. Your responsibilities will include optimizing machine efficiency, monitoring production quality, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols and lean principles. Key Responsibilities: Operating the Te Pari CNC machinery in a production environment Conduct troubleshooting and ensure machine maintenance Uphold a high standard of 5S and lean practices Prioritize workshop and site safety Operate bandsaws as needed Work Schedule: Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm or Night Shift: Monday to Thursday, 5:00pm – 5:00am. Guaranteed minimum of 45 hours per week. Permanent Position. About You: We seek candidates with prior CNC machinery operation experience in a similar role with a minimum of 1 years' experience, or a relevant Engineering qualification (Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, Electronics Engineering). You should be a team player with a proactive approach to learning and continuous improvement.
