Consultant Psychiatrist – Public Hospital Setting Location: Rotorua, New Zealand Employment Type: Permanent (1 January 2027 – 31 December 2027) Salary: $200,000 – $350,000 per annum About the Role A fantastic opportunity is available for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join a well-established mental health service in Rotorua. You will be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, patient-centred care across inpatient and/or community settings. In this role, you will conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, develop and oversee treatment plans, and provide clinical leadership within the service. You will work closely with junior medical staff, nursing teams, and allied health professionals, while also contributing to teaching, supervision, and continuous service improvement.
