We have a Cottonsoft team of 200 employees throughout New Zealand and four sites throughout NZ - two in Auckland (Highbrook and Wiri), Christchurch, and Dunedin. We are currently recruiting two Shift Maintenance Engineers for our Highbrook Site. The opportunity You will make an impact through mechanical and electrical maintenance on our two production lines; supporting the reduction of downtime of the plant, equipment, and machinery; increasing efficiency levels and ensuring H&S requirements are met. You will contribute by Acting as a safety leader, maintaining a positive presence and advocate for safety Working with the Maintenance Manager on predictive and breakdown maintenance Continuous updating of engineering data and procedures Educating and conducting Operator training Engaging and consulting with contractors and team members on safety, operational improvements and implementation of solutions Providing technical advice and engineering solutions to improve machine and equipment availability and reliability which are cost efficient Support engineering stock control through accurate recording of spare parts usage and participation in stock counts. About You NZ mechanical trade cert qualified or equivalent Root cause analysis skills Experience with maintenance management systems (CMMS) Ability to read and understand Engineering drawings (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic & hydraulics) Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills Flexible and proactive approach to help resolve operational and technical equipment problems and breakdowns An excellent ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and self-motivated approach to work Take ownership and accountability Roster Structure You will be working an average of 41.24 hours per work on a four-on, four-off, rotating shift pattern.
