We offer a broad range of wool brokering services delivering seamless access to local and international markets via the technical expertise of its field team and 10 wool stores across the country. About the role : We are seeking an enthusiastic individual, keen to join our small team at the Te Kuiti Wool Store. You will be an experienced truck driver and be able to work autonomously whilst picking up wool and in the Wool Store. A good level of literacy and numeracy is important and you need to enjoy working with our rural growers and be keen to learn about all aspects of wool. Upholding excellent health and safety standards is important and you should be eager to participate and learn all aspects of the wool store and wool collection. Your duties will include liaising with the wool growers to arrange visits, managing your driving schedule and drive one of our trucks in rural areas and around town. You will need to be prepared to seek out new business and help grow the client base in the area through great relationship management. Your tasks will include stacking and securing wool bales on your truck, loading/unloading of trucks into our wool store and other dispatch tasks. You need to be physically fit and be able to follow instructions but also use your initiative when it is needed with a view to providing excellent customer service to our growers. We are looking for the following attributes: Clean and current Class 2 truck driver's licence. An F endorsement forklift licence is an advantage but not essential. Level 1 or 2 NCEA (or equivalent) 2+ years' experience driving a truck A person who respects vehicle safety and operates the truck in a manner that reflects on the Company’s image positively. Great communication skills with the ability to build relationships and look for business growth opportunities Strong attention to detail and able to follow written and verbal instructions Gives high priority to client needs, happy entering farm properties and liaising with farmers and staff.
