Job Description

Jora New Zealand will close on 9th September 2026. Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey. Lodestone Energy was founded in 2019 with a clear ambition: to play a leading role in accelerating New Zealand's transition to a low-carbon energy system. We're building and operating utility-scale solar farms across Aotearoa and pairing this generation with innovative energy solutions for commercial, industrial, SME and mass-market customers. As one of New Zealand's first solar-focused generator-retailers, we're challenging convention and building a smarter, more sustainable energy future. We're a high-growth business with big ambitions and a small team doing exceptional work. As our portfolio continues to expand, we're looking for an experienced Senior Asset Engineer to help build the operational capability that will support our assets for decades to come About the Role This is far more than a traditional asset engineering role. Working closely with our Asset & Operations Manager, you'll establish and continually improve the systems, processes and technical standards that underpin the safe, reliable and efficient operation of our growing solar portfolio. Initially your focus will be on building our asset management capability—developing maintenance frameworks, optimising Maximo, creating operational documentation and embedding best practice across our sites. As the role evolves, you'll become Lodestone's internal technical authority for our generation assets. You’ll: Build and enhance our asset management capability. Optimise Maximo and improve asset reporting. Develop practical maintenance systems and procedures. Partner with site teams and contractors across New Zealand. Provide technical leadership across our solar assets. Improve asset performance, reliability and availability. Shape long-term maintenance and lifecycle planning. Drive innovation through data, technology and AI. What You'll Bring You'll be an experienced engineer who enjoys balancing technical problem-solving with improving systems and processes. You're equally comfortable in the field as you are developing documentation or analysing asset performance. You'll bring: Previous experience in engineering, asset management or operations within the energy, utilities or infrastructure sector. Experience managing critical infrastructure or generation assets. Experience developing maintenance programmes, systems and operational processes. Strong knowledge of Maximo or a similar enterprise asset management system. Experience managing contractors and technical service providers. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset. The ability to communicate technical information clearly. Why Join Lodestone? Help build the asset management capability of one of New Zealand's fastest-growing renewable energy companies. Become the technical authority across a rapidly expanding portfolio of utility-scale solar farms. Enjoy genuine variety, combining field work with strategic engineering and systems development. Work with a highly capable, collaborative team where your ideas will have real impact. Be part of a purpose-led organisation committed to creating a lasting legacy for New Zealand's energy future. Applications close 30 August. Applicants must have exisitng work rights in New Zealand. #J-18808-Ljbffr
