In this role, you'll help shape the future of our Financial Lines portfolio across New Zealand by identifying opportunities for growth and supporting a strong, customer-centred underwriting culture. You'll play a key role in strengthening Zurich's presence in the market, building trusted relationships, and contributing to a profitable, sustainable portfolio. You'll also collaborate closely with our Liability team to support the growth of this line of business, ensuring underwriting decisions are grounded in sound judgement, aligned with guidelines, and delivered with care for our customers and partners. Responsibilities Provide underwriting capability to support the growth of the Financial Lines portfolio Support the development and expansion of the Liability line of business across New Zealand Build and maintain strong market relationships to position Zurich as a leader in the field Contribute to planning, continuous improvement, and business development activities Use underwriting tools, technology and insights to deliver high-quality outcomes Operate within agreed guidelines and timelines to meet performance objectives Important to your success – let's grow together You're someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, builds genuine relationships, and brings a curious, solutions-focused mindset to your work. Qualifications & Requirements Experience in underwriting or broking within Financial Lines, Liability or related areas Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with sound commercial judgement Ability to manage a portfolio, make informed decisions and work within clear frameworks Proven ability to build trusted relationships with brokers, partners and internal teams Confidence using technology, data and underwriting tools to support decision-making Clear communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team Belong.
