Tā mātou arawātea | Our Opportunity: We’re looking for a Turnaround Delivery Lead to help shape and deliver successful outages across our Geothermal Generation sites. This is a pivotal role, with real opportunity to improve how outages are planned, coordinated and delivered, while supporting safe outcomes, stronger asset performance and better commercial value. You’ll lead the planning, scheduling, coordination and delivery of major plant outages across Mercury’s generation assets, working closely with site teams, Site Leads, contractors, procurement, maintenance, operations, engineering and reliability teams. This is more than leading one outage at a time. You’ll take a broader portfolio view throughout the year, looking for opportunities to create efficiencies, streamline how we work with contractors, and package outage work in a way that improves delivery, reduces costs, and supports better outcomes for our sites. You’ll lead a small team of planners, working with sites to coordinate outage activity and make sure the right people, materials, equipment and work packages are ready at the right time. You’ll have a strong support structure around you, while also having the space to make the role your own and help Mercury lift the way we deliver turnarounds. This role gives you the chance to work broadly across sites and stakeholders, influence how outage delivery evolves, and build strong relationships both internally and externally. There is flexibility for this role to be based at any of our sites, with regular tavel across our Waikato River hydro sites with a tool of trade vehicle provided for work use. Tāu e mahi ai | What you'll be doing: Lead the planning, scheduling, coordination and execution of major plant outages Work with site teams and Site Leads before, during and after outages to align scope, priorities and delivery Lead and support a small planning team responsible for coordinating outage activity with sites Develop fully costed outage schedules and track progress through delivery Package outage work effectively so it can be delivered safely, efficiently and with clear commercial value Engage and manage contractors and subcontractors to deliver quality maintenance outcomes Work with procurement to identify smarter ways to resource, contract and deliver outage work Take a portfolio view of outages across the year, identifying efficiency gains and opportunities to reduce cost Sequence work to reduce interfaces, manage risk and improve delivery flow Facilitate pre-starts, toolbox meetings, risk assessments and quality checks during outage delivery Tāu ka kawe mai | What you'll bring: You’ll bring strong experience in outage, shutdown, turnaround or major maintenance delivery. Your background may be from energy, manufacturing, dairy, heavy industry, infrastructure or another complex operational environment. Experience in hydro or geothermal generation would be useful, but it’s not essential. Other key things we are looking for include: A trade qualification, maintenance background or equivalent engineering experience Strong experience in shutdowns, turnarounds, outages or major maintenance delivery Experience coordinating complex work fronts across contractors, site teams and technical specialists Confidence managing contractor performance, work packages, safety controls and delivery schedules A practical understanding of maintenance planning, scheduling and execution Commercial awareness, including cost management and finding efficiency gains Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across sites, leaders, contractors and procurement He aha te pai o te hono mai? | Why join us?
