Buildpro Limited – Christchurch, South Island OneStopDeckShop is a growing New Zealand business specialising in decking, outdoor timber, composite decking and outdoor solutions. We have an important position becoming available in our Christchurch showroom, combining sales, customer service, product knowledge, administration, purchasing and operational support. This is a varied role where you'll be dealing with DIY customers, builders and tradespeople, helping customers choose the right products, preparing quotes, ordering stock, supporting our delivery and yard teams, and helping keep our showroom and systems running smoothly. Key responsibilities Retail sales in our showroom and over the phone Help customers select the right decking and outdoor products for their project Provide product advice and technical support to DIY customers and trade customers Prepare quotes and support our Free Deck Quote service Order and replenish showroom stock Assist with purchasing and supplier communication Provide trade and customer support Process orders and ensure customers receive accurate information Liaise with our yard and delivery teams Follow up enquiries and help turn opportunities into sales About you Customer focused – you genuinely enjoy helping people and can build rapport with everyone from a first-time DIY customer to an experienced builder Commercially minded – you understand that great customer service and strong sales go hand in hand Organised – you can manage multiple customers, quotes, orders and tasks without losing track of the details A problem solver – when something doesn't work, you are solution focused A quick learner – you'll need to become highly knowledgeable across timber, composite decking, fixings, coatings and outdoor products Confident with technology – you should be comfortable learning new systems and using technology to work smarter Experience in one or more of the following would be advantageous: retail or trade sales, building products or timber, customer service, purchasing or stock management, trade counter/showroom environments, quoting, sales administration, construction or building industry, CRM or business management systems, AI and automation tools A varied role where no two days are exactly the same The opportunity to become an expert across a large range of outdoor products A supportive team environment The opportunity to work with a growing New Zealand business The ability to make a genuine impact on how we operate The opportunity to introduce AI and automation into real business processes Training and support to develop your product and industry knowledge A role with genuine responsibility and room to grow About us OneStopDeckShop is a growing New Zealand business specialising in decking, outdoor timber, composite decking and outdoor solutions.
