Machine Operator

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of extrusion equipment, ensuring production targets and quality standards are consistently met. Key responsibilities Operating extrusion machinery and completing end-of-line quality checks Correctly carrying out machine start-ups, shutdowns and changeovers Managing product pack-off and scrap effectively Troubleshooting production and process issues Completing production documentation and reporting process variances Identifying and managing out-of-specification products Carrying out quality checks and approved machine adjustments Performing basic machine and line maintenance Reporting machine faults and downtime accurately and promptly Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe work environment About you Reliable, punctual and able to work designated shifts Safety-conscious and committed to following procedures and PPE requirements A good problem solver with a practical approach Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment A clear and confident communicator A strong team player with a positive attitude Detail-oriented with a focus on quality Comfortable reading work instructions and completing basic calculations and production documentation Physically capable of lifting up to 25kg and standing for extended periods Manufacturing experience is advantageous, particularly experience working in a production or shift-based environment About us Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of plastic pipeline systems throughout New Zealand, producing products used across water supply, sewerage, plumbing, gas, stormwater, irrigation, telecommunications, electrical, mining and industrial applications. #J-18808-Ljbffr
