We're looking for a Grounds Supervisor to lead our grounds maintenance team at Papakura Military Camp From training areas and operational grounds to landscaped areas and community spaces, you'll play a key role in maintaining an environment that supports military training, operational readiness and daily life on camp. We're looking for a leader who can build team capability, create accountability and foster a culture where high standards are the norm. About the role As Grounds Supervisor, you'll lead the day-to-day delivery of grounds and landscape maintenance services across Papakura Military Camp and associated outlying sites. You'll be responsible for planning and coordinating maintenance programmes, leading a small team , managing resources and equipment, and ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Working closely with NZDF stakeholders and the wider site team, you'll help maintain an environment that supports military training activities, operational requirements and community use. This role is onsite full-time, Monday to Friday, 7.30 am to 4.00 pm. What you'll be responsible for Lead and develop the grounds maintenance team Coordinate daily, weekly and seasonal maintenance programmes Oversee training areas, operational grounds and landscaped areas Oversee the operation and management of stormwater systems, including underground and overland networks, retention and treatment systems.Manage work schedules, equipment, resources and procurement Monitor quality standards, contract performance and safety compliance Build positive relationships with NZDF stakeholders and customers Drive team capability, accountability and continuous improvement What we're looking for Experience in grounds, horticultural or landscape maintenance Previous leadership or supervisory experience Strong planning, organisation and people leadership skills Ability to build team capability and maintain high standards Knowledge of grounds maintenance equipment and safe operating practices Strong communication and stakeholder relationship skills Full New Zealand Driver Licence Ability to obtain and maintain NZDF security clearance Why this role Manage diverse environments including training areas Shape team culture and drive operational excellence #J-18808-Ljbffr
