Skilled Carpenters/Hammer hands Needed in Queenstown (REC-CP-NM) Frenz Recruitment – Queenstown, South Island Build in Paradise: Skilled Carpenters/Hammer hands Needed in Queenstown Calling Skilled Carpenters/Hammer Hands to join a high-performing construction team in Queenstown. We’re looking for 4 skilled Carpenters who can hit the ground running. If you have at least 3 years of hands-on experience , strong practical ability, and capability in tiling and/or painting , this is a solid opportunity to step into consistent, long-term work. You’ll be working on-site building, installing, renovating, and repairing quality structures made from timber, wallboard, plywood, and a range of other materials. Key Responsibilities: Interpret drawings and specifications to determine materials, measurements, and installation processes Source and select timber and materials, and prepare accurate layouts Cut materials, assemble components, and secure all parts to specification Erect framework, roof framing, install sub-flooring and floorboards, and confirm structural alignment Install fascia, roof sheathing, exterior cladding, windows, and doors Assemble prefabricated wood structures and fittings Cut wood joints with precision Construct concrete formwork when required Repair and maintain existing fixtures and fittings Work across various materials including laminates, perspex, and metals Requirements: Minimum 3 years of proven carpentry experience Strong work ethic, reliability, and good character (background check may apply) Physically fit and capable of manual labour Able to pass pre-employment drug testing and criminal background checks Solid understanding of construction methods and safety practices Confident reading and interpreting building plans and specifications High attention to detail and sound problem-solving skills A reliable team player with a proactive approach Driver licence preferred but not essential Experience in tiling and/or painting Benefits: Competitive hourly rate based on experience and skill Opportunities for further training and development Working in one of New Zealand’s most beautiful regions Pay Rate: $30.00 – $36.00 per hour Hours: 40–50 hours per week (average 40 hours) Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with occasional Saturdays as required This role is a permanent, full-time position located in Queenstown, South Island.
