Mōtetūranga| About the role We areseekinga motivated and highly organised Complaints Assessment Committee and Competence Authority (CACC) Advisor to join our TeOhuHaepapaNgaio|Professional Responsibility team.The reason for this fixed term position is to cover the duties of an internal employee who is undertaking a secondment. You will play a key role in supporting teachers,kaiakoand stakeholders through both the conduct and competence processes. This includes providing advice and guidance from the point a matter is referred to the Complaints Assessment Committee or Competence Authority through to thefinal outcome. This role requires strong judgement, professionalism, and the ability to work with complex and sensitive information while preserving the mana of everyone involved.Please note, this role requires domestic travel to hearings across Aotearoa New Zealand. Key responsibilities include: Advising and supportingkaiako, teachers and stakeholders through conduct and competence processes. Supporting Complaints Assessment Committee, Competence Authorityand Minor Convictions Panel members to understand and apply conditions consistently. Monitoring progress against imposed conditions and making recommendations. Preparing reports for internal stakeholders and the Governing Council. Analysing data toidentifyrisks, trends, and opportunities for improvement. Maintainingaccuraterecords and supporting the smooth running of panel processes. Managing confidential and sensitive information appropriately. Assisting the Operations Lead and wider Professional Responsibility Operations Team where needed. You are confident engaging with people from diverse backgrounds and skilled at building trust and positive relationships. You bring strong analytical thinking, sound judgement, and the ability to manage complex information with discretion. You are empathetic, highly organised, and committed to working in a way that reflects tikanga, values, and fairness. To be successful, you will bring: A relevant tertiary qualification. Strong competency in Tikanga, Te Ao Māori, Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles, Te Reo Māori, and knowledge of Pasifika cultures would be an advantage. Experience in regulatory/compliance environments or professional regulation. At least 2 years' experience working with diverse stakeholders. At least 3 years' administration, advisory, or coordination experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organisational, analytical and time management. Experience working with confidential or sensitive information. Experience in regulatory/compliance environments or professional regulation.
