Koura Bay Golf Resort is seeking an experienced hospo-couple to take our Resort Reception & Bar to the next level. This is a unique opportunity for a couple who want to share the diverse roles involved, combining front-of-house hospitality with cafe and bar service expertise. Based in beautiful Kaikoura, Canterbury, this position offers spacious accommodation and hours that ensure a quality work-life balance. Resort hours are 9am to 9pm latest, we are not and never will be a late night venue. This renewable and negotiable contract role is an ideal opportunity for a couple looking for a new hospo adventure in a resort environment. Who knows what doors this experience will open. What you'll be doing As a couple, you will share responsibilities across front-of-house operations: Greeting and efficiently serving guests and visitors upon arrival with relaxed professionalism Responding promptly to enquiries and providing information about resort facilities, golf courses, local attractions, and dining options Back up for housekeeping team, room prep and servicing Preparing and serving beverages (including coffee) from the bar with professionalism and flair, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of our cocktails, wines, beers, and spirits Maintaining bar standards including cleanliness, stock management, and responsible service of alcohol Processing payments and managing cash handling at both reception and bar areas Coordinating with other resort departments to ensure guest satisfaction and prompt service Help maintaining grounds, common areas, equipment, golf course, facilities Upholding health and safety standards and resort policies at all times What we're looking for We are seeking a hospo-couple with complementary skills keen on a shared adventure: Proven experience in reception or front-of-house hospitality within a hotel, resort, or similar establishment Demonstrated bar experience with working knowledge of beverage preparation and mixology Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with guests and colleagues Proficiency in using hospitality management systems and point-of-sale technology Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage shifts, time and multi-tasking A professional appearance and demeanor consistent with resort standards Responsible attitude towards alcohol service, knowledge of relevant licensing regulations and relevant qualifications Ability to regularly work early evenings, weekends, and public holidays A positive attitude, reliability, and genuine enthusiasm for delivering outstanding guest experiences Ability to work collaboratively as a couple whilst maintaining professional standards Current New Zealand work rights and drivers licenses Desirable: Hospitality qualifications such as RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol), LCQ or similar recognised certifications What we offer Koura Bay Golf Resort values our team and offers a range of benefits to support your wellbeing and professional development: Contract employment offering flexibility and quality work-life balance The opportunity to work as a couple in a unique dual role Competitive remuneration package reflective of your experience and skills A great work environment in beautiful Kaikoura including accommodation and outgoings Opportunities to develop your skills in many directions beyond those listed here A supportive team environment that values collaboration and mutual respect The chance to be part of a taking this Resort to the next level and beyond #J-18808-Ljbffr
