Job Description
Communications Support and Office Administrator Howick Baptist Healthcare – Howick, North Island This is a varied role combining communications, front-of-house service and office administration. Based at reception, you will help create a warm, welcoming and professional experience for residents, families and whānau, visitors, volunteers and staff, while supporting HBH Group's communications and day-to-day office operations. Working closely with the Executive Assistant / Communications Lead, you will support HBH's publications and organisational updates, maintain digital channels, assist with events and surveys, and help ensure reception and the wider office operate smoothly. Key responsibilities Supporting the preparation of newsletters, staff communications, publications and organisational updates Maintaining HBH's website, social media, digital displays and communication resources Helping coordinate reports, campaigns, events, surveys and other communications activities Sharing responsibility for reception and creating a warm, welcoming experience for residents, families and whānau, visitors, volunteers and staff Responding to telephone, email and in-person enquiries with warmth and professionalism Providing general office administration, including meeting support, record-keeping, databases and supplies Contributing to an environment where residents feel known, valued, connected and included About you At least three years' relevant experience in communications support, office administration, reception, customer service or a comparable role Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience drafting, editing and proofreading professional content Experience updating websites using WordPress or a similar content management system Experience preparing and scheduling organisational social media content Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint Strong organisation, prioritisation and attention to detail Sound judgement and discretion when handling sensitive information The ability to work independently, take ownership and follow tasks through A warm, respectful and professional approach, with a genuine interest in people and relationships About us HBH Group is a faith-based, for-purpose organisation committed to supporting older people to age well and live fully.
