Naenae Medical Centre – Lower Hutt, North Island Registered Nurse Prescriber – Primary Health Care Are you a Registered Nurse Prescriber looking to build your career in a supportive, well-established primary health care practice? Naenae Medical Centre is a friendly, community-focused teaching practice in Naenae We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse Prescriber to join our multidisciplinary clinical team. You will have the opportunity to work to your authorised prescribing scope while receiving dedicated clinical supervision, mentorship and support from experienced clinicians. The role Working alongside GPs, nurse practitioners, registered nurses and our wider multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality assessment, clinical care and health education for our enrolled population. As a teaching practice, you will have your own designated clinical supervisor, providing guidance, mentorship and support as you develop your prescribing practice and confidence in primary care. Your work will include: Assessing and managing patients with acute, common and long-term health conditions Providing prescribing, medication reviews and patient follow-up within your authorised Registered Nurse Prescribing scope Delivering preventative care, screening, immunisations and health-promotion advice Supporting patients with long-term conditions through care planning and self-management education Triaging and responding appropriately to urgent presentations Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and contributing to quality-improvement initiatives Working collaboratively to provide accessible, equitable and culturally safe care for patients and whānau About you You will have: Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand as a Registered Nurse Current authorisation as a Registered Nurse Prescriber in Primary Health and Specialty Teams Experience in general practice, primary health care, urgent care or community nursing Strong clinical assessment, decision-making and communication skills A commitment to safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care The ability to work confidently within your scope while collaborating with your clinical supervisor and the wider team A genuine interest in improving access to care within the community What we offer Flexible hours, with full-time or part-time options considered A supportive, experienced and welcoming multidisciplinary team Your own designated clinical supervisor, with structured clinical support and mentorship A teaching-practice environment that values learning and professional development A varied role with the opportunity to further develop your primary-care prescribing practice Competitive remuneration, negotiated according to experience, qualifications and agreed hours A community-focused practice where you can make a genuine difference for patients and whānau #J-18808-Ljbffr
