Support Workers - Brain & Spinal Injury Clients Drake International – Rotorua, North Island 11d ago , from Drake International New Zealand Drake Medox - Specialist Homecare Services We're looking for dedicated and experienced Support Workers to join our team in providing high-quality care to clients living with spinal cord injuries and other complex care needs . These are long-term clients who require full personal support, clinical care tasks, and assistance with daily routines and community access. We currently have high-needs client requiring a consistent team of confident Support Workers experienced in full personal cares, hoisting, bowel and bladder management, skin checks, and structured daily care routines . We are especially seeking staff available and flexible for morning, afternoon, weekend, and sleepover shifts , with opportunities to pick up additional hours when available and required. About Drake Medox Drake Medox is a trusted provider of specialist home-care services across New Zealand. We support individuals with complex injuries to live safely and independently at home, backed by a professional and compassionate team of support staff. About the Role You'll work one-on-one with clients in their homes and local communities. Responsibilities may include: Full personal care for clients with limited mobility Hoisting, manual handling, and assisted transfers Bowel and bladder care (training provided) Skin integrity monitoring for high-risk clients Stretches and mobility support Household tasks and meal preparation Medication administration within scope Supporting community access (shopping, appointments, social visits) Support Workers will follow detailed care plans and routines , especially for clients with high-level spinal cord injuries who require consistent and structured support. What We're Looking For Previous experience as a Support Worker or in a similar role (experience with spinal cord injury or complex care is highly preferred) Healthcare Level 2 - Level 4 qualification (preferred but not essential) Based in Rotorua or nearby, with reliable transport.
