About the role As Clinical Administrative Support in the Emergency Department, you will be working within a multi-disciplinary team including doctors, nurses, other clinical professionals and administration staff. Your primary responsibility will be for reception and administration duties to enable the smooth flow of patients through the department, including ensuring patient documentation is maintained and up to date. ED shifts Early: 6.45am-3.15pm 7.45am-4.15pm Late: 12pm-8pm 3pm-11pm 4pm-12am Night: 11pm-7am This is a permanent, part-time position working 64 hours per fortnight (0.8 FTE), rostered and rotating shifts, Monday to Sunday. There is no on-call required. We are looking for applicants who would enjoy the variety of shift work, and who are happy to work on a rostered and rotating basis. During the training phase it will be important that you are available to train across all shifts. About the Team/Service/Location The Emergency Department Administration team provides essential support to one of the hospital's busiest services. Operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the team works closely with clinical staff to ensure patients receive timely and efficient care. About you As Administrative Support in the Emergency Department, you will: have excellent customer service and reception skills remain calm and professional in a busy and sometimes high-pressure environment demonstrate strong computer literacy and administration skills be able to learn new systems and processes quickly work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team be flexible and available to work rostered early, late, and night shifts. The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid New Zealand visa at the time of applying.
