The Cawthron Institute in partnership with Lincoln University invites applications for a PhD position examining microbial functions as indicators of freshwater ecosystem stress and recovery across Aotearoa New Zealand. The project will apply microbial metagenomics to ~150 lakes, integrating genomic data with environmental datasets.
