About the Role We have an opportunity for an experienced Addiction Specialist/Psychiatrist to join the Mental Health & Addiction services here in Te Tai Tokerau (Northland). This exciting Clinical Lead role is open to all senior medical practitioners with experience and interest in addictions practice and would ideally suit those interested in a small city and/or beach lifestyle in beautiful Te Tai Tokerau. This role is a part of Te Tai Tokerau wider Mental Health and Addiction services, covering the entire district from around Wellsford to the North Cape. The service is inclusive of Opioid Substance Treatment, Alcohol and Other Drugs and Te Ara Oranga which is Northlands multi-agency programme involving a high level of cooperation between police, NGO and health services, as a specific response to methamphetamine addiction. The role provides the opportunity to provide leadership and clinical expertise to a multidisciplinary team, with support for your professional development and plenty of opportunities to make a difference.
