Growing Spectrum is looking for Truck Drivers to join our team. These are vital roles and you will play a key part in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of high-quality plants to customers across New Zealand. If you have a Class 2 or above, driver’s license, a keen eye for detail, and a dedication to outstanding customer service, we want to hear from you! About the Role. As a Truck Driver at Growing Spectrum, you will be responsible for safely transporting plants to various locations, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products, and maintaining vehicles in top condition. In addition to your driving duties, you will also assist with nursery operations during quieter periods. This role is essential in supporting Growing Spectrum’s commitment to quality, efficiency, and customer service. What you’ll be doing. Product Delivery Carry out scheduled deliveries, ensuring efficient service, careful loading and unloading of plants, exchange trolleys with customers, communicate any changes promptly, adapt to schedule adjustments, and retrieve and return stock as needed for nursery operations. Customer Relations Deliver exceptional customer service, follow customer instructions for plant placement, maintain a professional appearance with high-visibility clothing, and report any concerns to the Dispatch Team Leader or Operations Manager. Vehicle Maintenance Maintain the truck in a clean, organized, and roadworthy condition, perform daily inspections, monitor vehicle upkeep (oil, WOF, COF, etc.), adhere to road regulations, and report any mechanical issues to the Dispatch Team Leader. Additional Duties Assist in the nursery during quieter periods, accurately record working hours, responsibly use company cards, follow health and safety protocols, and comply with vehicle usage and legal policies. Workplace safety, wellbeing and continual improvement Adhere to health and safety procedures, support a culture of safety and wellbeing, report incidents and hazards, engage in continuous personal development, and contribute to improving operational processes and systems. Key Skills and Experience: A Class 2 driver’s license is required, and a Class 5 license is advantageous. Previous experience in the trucking and freighting industry. Strong organisational and time management skills. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building rapport. Attention to detail and a commitment to safety. Flexibility and the ability to work as part of a team. Knowledge of nursery operations and horticulture is an advantage. Why Join Us?
