A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a reliable, mechanically qualified person to fill our day shift Engineer role based in Christchurch. As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will carry out various electrical and mechanical maintenance and repair activities. Day to day you will be responsible for: Working with shift electricians and supervisors to ensure production requirements and deadlines are met effectively and efficiently. Maximising production equipment availability through the implementation of maintenance activities across all production areas. Displaying sound judgement in a fast-paced environment. Reacting quickly, fault finding, and working confidently with engineering diagrams. To be successful in this role you will: Have an industrial background. Be familiar with pneumatic controls and motor drive systems, along with operating lathes, milling machines and welders. Have 2+ years' experience working with mechanical components. Show a high awareness of safety and safe work practices, adhering to company safety standards. Have meticulous attention to detail and strong mechanical aptitude. Bring a flexible approach to fault finding and problem solving. Be adaptable and able to quickly adjust to the changing demands of the business. Hold yourself to a high professional standard. Be self-motivated. Show excellent written and oral communication skills. Be able to understand and work with Computer Managed Maintenance Systems. Have the ability to work autonomously and as part of a dynamic maintenance team. Stuff champions inclusion.
