Trade Assist is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join a leading engineering and infrastructure company based in Whenuapai! This is a hands‑on role where you’ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing heavy equipment both in the workshop and out in the field. We’re looking for someone mechanically minded who has Hydraulic Experience. PLEASE NOTE: THIS JOB IS AUCKLAND BASED What’s On Offer: $40-$52p/hr + Weekly Pay! Monday – Friday hours! PLEASE NOTE: THIS JOB IS AUCKLAND BASED Your Responsibilities: Carry out servicing, repairs, and maintenance on heavy machinery and piling equipment Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical faults Complete preventative maintenance inspections and identify potential issues Assist with workshop and yard operations including loading and equipment movement Maintain tools, parts, and equipment while keeping work areas clean and safe PLEASE NOTE: THIS JOB IS AUCKLAND BASED About You: Relevant mechanical trade qualification Experience working on heavy machinery or related equipment preferred Ability to fault find and work independently Current driver’s licence required Forklift licence preferred (or willingness to obtain) Strong communication skills and able to work well with customers and the team NZ resident or valid work visa PLEASE NOTE: THIS JOB IS AUCKLAND BASED Please note – It is a requirement that applicants are able to provide a clean drug and alcohol test result before commencing work with us. #J-18808-Ljbffr
