Senior Civil Engineer | Land Development Grada Recruitment – Christchurch, South Island Our client is a respected engineering consultancy with an established presence across New Zealand. Their Christchurch office continues to grow, backed by a diverse portfolio spanning land development, education, healthcare, commercial, infrastructure, mining and public sector projects. With a collaborative team environment and strong leadership in place, they're now looking to add an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to help deliver an expanding pipeline of subdivision and land development work. About the role Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you'll join a team of around 20 engineers and designers, taking the lead on significant land development projects across Canterbury. Current projects include massive-scale greenfield developments, including subdivisions of several hundred to several thousand lots, with plenty more already secured. You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality civil design while mentoring junior engineers and helping maintain strong client relationships. Key responsibilities Deliver civil design for residential and mixed-use land development projects. Design and coordinate three waters infrastructure. Undertake stormwater and flood modelling. Work closely with planners, surveyors and project stakeholders. Mentor graduate and intermediate engineers. Assist with NZS 3910 contract administration where required. Contribute technical expertise throughout project delivery. What you'll need At least 6 years' experience in NZ civil engineering. Strong background in land development and large-scale greenfield subdivisions. Proven experience with 12d. Experience designing three waters infrastructure. Knowledge of stormwater and flood modelling. Understanding of RMA planning processes. Experience with NZS 3910 contract administration is advantageous. Working towards CPEng or already chartered is desirable, but not essential. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach. #J-18808-Ljbffr
