We’re currently looking for someone the right fit to join us as our Office and Accounts Manager - a role where you won't just balance the books, you'll help shape the business. About the Role This is a hands-on, front of house position, at the heart of our operations. You'll take ownership of our day-to-day finance operations and office management across three offices, while also acting as a trusted advisor to our directors - turning financial reporting into practical insight that informs strategy and decision-making. You won't be doing this alone. You'll be supported by our part-time admin team member, and work alongside our HR, Marketing, and Health & Safety Officer, so you can focus on what you do best: accounts, payroll, business analysis, and keeping our systems and offices running smoothly. What you'll be doing Office Management Overseeing administration and consistency across our offices Managing front-of-house duties, phone, email enquiries, and client interactions Maintaining data integrity across our business systems (Xero, Payroll, Abtrac, and others) Managing procurement, supplier relationships, insurance renewals, and the company asset register Contributing to a positive team environment Finance & Business Support Preparing monthly financial summaries and reports for the directors Overseeing payroll and related deductions (PAYE, KiwiSaver, ACC levies) Managing accounts receivable/payable, invoicing, credit card reconciliations, and debtor follow-up Supporting GST and other IRD filing obligations, in partnership with our accountants Supporting annual budgeting, mid-year forecasts, and tracking spend against budget Reviewing project profitability and resourcing data Reconciling accounts and keeping our Xero records accurate and up to date What you’ll bring A background in accounts/finance, with payroll experience and proficiency in Xero.
