Ōpuke Thermal Pools & Spa is looking for a confident, hands‑on Senior Lifeguard to help keep our guests safe, our pools sparkling, and our team running smoothly in one of Canterbury’s most unique alpine wellness destinations. Set against the foothills of Mt Hutt in Methven, Ōpuke blends spectacular mountain views, warm glacial waters, solar‑powered pools, spa experiences, great hospitality, and genuine Kiwi service — with our lifeguard team playing a vital role in every guest experience. In this role, you’ll: Be the calm, capable presence guests and teammates can count on. Support safe, smooth pool operations with sharp supervision and quick thinking. Help lead lifeguard rotations, breaks, training, cleaning standards, and day‑to‑day teamwork. Respond confidently to incidents, hazards, guest needs, and the odd curveball. Keep water quality, equipment, records, and safety standards in great shape. Bring energy, professionalism, and a can‑do attitude to every shift. You’ll be a great fit if you’re: Holding a current Pool Lifeguard Practising Certificate, and first aid certificate or be motivated and ready to gain them. A clear communicator who enjoys working with people of all ages and backgrounds. A natural problem‑solver who can stay cool, prioritise fast, and support others.
